The Young Expert Programmes (YEP) consist of YEP Water and YEP Agrofood. The main goal of both programmes is to offer young Dutch professionals the opportunity to gain experience abroad and to offer young local professionals the opportunity to gain experience with working in an international environment through Dutch organisations.

As a Young Expert you get the opportunity to not only gain experience in an intercultural environment but also to develop your personal goals for a period of 1 or 2 years. You are employed by a Dutch organisation, and work on a specific project related to either Water or Agrofood. At the same time you receive intensive coaching, and attend training sessions and master classes in order to develop your skills. YEP is open for projects in one of the countries that are eligible for grants from the Dutch Good Growth Fund. If you are a motivated young professional, YEP is a wonderful opportunity to invest in yourself, and to make an impact by working on a project for an extensive period of time. Do you think you have got what it takes to become a Young Expert yourself? Take the test on our website!

There are three application rounds for potential Dutch Young Experts every year. New project positions will be published on our website, with a link to the application form. A full overview of the application periods and training dates for the entire year can be found here.
The YEP Programmes are carried out jointly by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Netherlands Water Partnership (NWP) and the Food & Business Knowledge Platform.
