Nitocra is the study association for the students of the Bachelor and Master International Land and Water Management (ILW) at Wageningen University. Currently we have around 400 members with different cultural and professional backgrounds. The goal of Nitocra is to strengthen the social cohesion between students by organizing excursions, drinks, weekends and other activities. In this way, our members can integrate with their peer students but also with students from other years. We are also involved in improving the quality of education of both the Msc (MIL) and Bsc (BIL) by organizing lectures, excursion, internship talks and course-evaluations. Also, we can help students with their questions about their study or other things that relate to studying in Wageningen.
Another goal of our study association is to prepare students on their future career. We do this by providing information about internships, traineeships, study programs (minors) and jobs and by organising and promoting alumni-talks, network events and symposia. On top of that, we try to create and sustain our professional network to promote the contact between students and companies/organisations.
To accomplish all these goals, Nitocra consist of an active and motivated board and several enthusiastic committees. These active members make it possible to organise and promote all our activities and create a nice and open atmosphere within Nitocra. Members of Nitocra receive our journal ‘Ephemera’, our weekly newsletter and 15% discount on their study books at the WUR-shop. So being a member of Nitocra has a lot nice benefits and it will only cost you €8 a year! If you want to know more about these benefits, check out this site, talk to some members or send us an e-mail. You can also drop by at our office: the ‘hok’ during the lunch breaks to become a member, ask questions or just to chill with your fellow students!
